Mrs. Katherine Louise Krout, age 34, died at 7:10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at her home, 1315 Third St., after being seriously ill two months. Born Jan. 18, 1928, she was a life resident of Covington. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and attended Covington Schools. For the last six months she had been employed at Radio Materials Corp. at Attica. Prior to that, she was employed in domestic service. Surviving are the husband, Dale Krout, whom she married July 19, 1946, a daughter Kathy Dale at home; her mother, Mrs. Jennie Purple of Attica; a half-brother, John Purple of Attica; a half-sister, Mrs. Patsy Mycroft of Attica; three aunts, two uncles and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Edgar Allen officiated. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in charge. -- typed by Barbara B
